The creation of Rogue Games, Inc.

January 25, 2007 (Chicago, Illinois) — Richard Iorio II and James Maliszewski have joined forces to create their own publishing company, Rogue Games, Inc.

Among the numerous projects Richard and James have in the works is Richard’s 1776 and James’s Fourth Millennium: Future Imperfect. Both games will see release from their new company. In addition the two Rogues have a number of other game designs they will be working on, and releasing in the months and years to come.

“The time is right, and I cannot think of anyone else I would rather be working with than James,” said co-owner Richard Iorio II. “James is a great writer and a great designer, and I am excited that the two of us are not only friends, but now business partners. Already myroleplaying game 1776 has benefited from this partnership.”

“I think it’s safe to say that there are few people in the roleplaying games business who show more enthusiasm coupled with common sense than Richard. I doubt I’d have undertaken an endeavor like this with anyone else. I’m frankly pleased that this opportunity has arisen and look forward seeing our ideas come to fruition at last,” said co-owner James Maliszewski.

1776, the first role playing game to be published by Rogue Games, will be released in August 2007 at Gen Con Indy 2007. A quick start version of the game is planned for release in March 2007, as well as a number of adventures and background piece, all of which will be available at theRogue Games website. Set at the dawn of the American Revolution, 1776 is a historical supernatural roleplaying game setting the tone for things to come.

Following 1776 is the much-anticipated release of Fourth Millennium: Future Imperfect in February 2008. A quick start version of the game will be released in August 2007, and the Rogue Games website will offer more content for this game as well.

“This is only the start,” said Iorio. “James and I have plans for other games, and other products. I have not been this excited about gaming in a long time.”
